Since all of you are coming along for the ride.....I'm sharing the good, the bad, and the challenging as we prepare to embark on a new journey and build our Eagles Mere compound. Today I walked the entire 10 acres out and back with a forester who had to do a timber report for the county. They count your trees, evaluate their health, and make a plan to remove the unhealthy ones.
When I left my current home this morning (elevation 2182) we had blue skies and sunshine and when I arrived at the Eagles Mere location (elevation 2500) it was misting and light snow was falling. After about 2 hours the rain cleared out and it was nice. There are a LOT of dead trees that have to be masticated, especially down by the river which is about 6 acres away....but I see a diamond in the rough. Clear out the dead trees....carve a beautiful walking path from the house down to the river...and build a concrete based gazebo to sit under and enjoy mother nature at her finest. I found lots of deer poop, elk hoof prints, and MOOSE POOP !!!
So today I am starting with about 100 dead trees that have to be removed, critter tracks, moose poop and a wonderful river that will keep the critters coming back. ❤️

Get in the habit of not explaining why your dreams are important to you.
The only explanation you need is.....it's important to me. Then be done.
But that's just my opinion :)
